Louisiana Tech University has an immediate opening for an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree required (Masters preferred). Candidates must have experience coaching and/or playing at the collegiate level (NCAA Division I experience preferred). Candidates must have sound written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to academic and athletic success. Additional preferred qualifications include an understanding of NCAA regulations, experience recruiting elite women’s soccer athletes, and Division I playing experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1.) assisting the Head Coach in the day-to-day operations of a NCAA Division I program, which includes preparation, organization and implementation of effective practice schedules, off-season programs and game coaching; 2.) recruiting, developing, and retaining elite level women’s soccer student-athletes; 3.) monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress; 4.) assuring the soccer program demonstrates a commitment to academics and maintains compliance with the NCAA, C-USA, Louisiana Tech University, and State of Louisiana rules and regulations; and 5.) performing additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach and the University.
