The Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment in Jazz Piano, beginning 1 July 2027. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

 Responsibilities include teaching applied-music majors, coaching small ensembles, and teaching improvisation, as well as maintaining national/international standing as a performing artist and teacher. The faculty member will contribute to the musical life of the Eastman School of Music by participating in recruitment, auditions, juries, and recitals.

 In compliance with the NY Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary range for this position is $100,000-160,000.  The University of Rochester considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
