Position Summary
The Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time tenure-track or tenured position at the level of Associate or Full Professor.
We seek highly motivated individuals who will:
- Deliver high-quality education at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Establish and maintain innovative, extramurally funded research programs that complement the Department's existing strengths.
Research Areas of Interest
Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to:
- AI/computational drug discovery
- Computational or virtual drug screening
- Chemical biology
- Pharmacology
- Immunology
- Cancer biology
- Drug formulation or drug delivery
- Medicinal chemistry
- Toxicology
- Systems biology
The Department offers a competitive salary, excellent laboratory space, and a generous start-up package to support the successful candidate's research program.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience as a tenure-track Assistant Professor (or equivalent).
- At least three years of postdoctoral training.
- A strong record of research, scholarship, and instruction that is commensurate with the stage in their professional career and aligned with the areas of research and scholarship associated with this position.

To be eligible for tenure on appointment, candidates must have been tenured at a prior institution, and bring a demonstrably national reputation to the institution. Candidates must be approved for tenure upon appointment before hire.

A background that includes leading funded team-based research is preferred.
