Description
MTSU's University College's Department of University Studies invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#136020) at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2026.
The successful candidate will teach general education lower-level college mathematics and statistics courses and must be able to work with students with varying abilities (e.g., students with Math ACT < 19). The successful candidate will be teaching courses focused on foundational mathematics, designed for students who have not yet demonstrated college-level readiness in mathematics. No higher-level mathematics (e.g., calculus, DE, PDE, analysis) will be a part of the successful candidate's teaching load. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an appropriate active research agenda as well as engage in public, professional, department, college, and university service functions.
