New College of Florida invites applications for one open-rank, tenure-track position in Computer Science, starting in August, 2026, to join the undergraduate program in computer science and the master’s program in Applied Data Science.
We are a small discipline looking for colleagues to teach in an undergraduate program that produces inquisitive, articulate, well-rounded computer science graduates interested in software development and research. Cybersecurity and systems are particular areas of interest, but most of all we seek someone enthusiastic about teaching computer science for the discipline and the college. Examples of Duties
The teaching load is two classes per semester, plus supervision of tutorials, independent study projects, senior theses, and when appropriate, master’s projects. Faculty members also provide academic advising and serve on baccalaureate committees. Professors are expected to maintain a program of research or creative work.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related technical field is required by the date of employment. Postdoctoral or teaching experience is preferred.
