Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The primary function of the Enrollment Management Assistant is to oversee the essential communications for the Office of Admissions. This includes but is not limited to answering phones, responding to emails, providing excellent customer service and building relationships with stakeholders and prospective applicants, demonstrating exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and supporting admissions and enrollment processes. This position is responsible for event coordination, supporting key admissions processes, and overseeing essential administrative duties of the office.

Prospective Student Engagement:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for applicant inquiries, providing guidance on admissions, interviews and enrollment management, working with applicants throughout the admissions process.
- Manage communications during the application process, including email, phone, and in-person interactions with applicants, admitted students, and other stakeholders.
- Review student records, input data, and generate letters and/or lists utilizing the student database. Application review, event coordination, and building relationships with students and stakeholders to meet enrollment goals.
- Follow up with students to verify any application issues, including discrepancies or missing information.
- Support event logistics and coordination.
- Represent the School of Medicine at events as needed.
Operations & Staff Support:
- Facilitate interview training process.
- Assist with admissions systems, purchasing, printing, mailings, reimbursements, and other office operations.
- Serves on departmental or university committees as requested and participates in special assignments or short-term projects as needed.
- Support broader admissions office priorities as assigned.
- Oversee general operations of the office.
Data, Reporting & Strategic Support:
- Collect, analyze, and report on admissions and recruitment data to inform enrollment planning and scholarship decisions.
- Process and manage admissions transactions for applicants.
- Manage admissions database systems.
- Work with UGA Information Technology Outreach Services (ITOS) to maintain and update admissions database.
- Maintain admissions reports and data.
- Support the development and execution of strategic recruitment initiatives.
- Provide updates on a regular basis to supervisor and other members of the enrollment leadership team on the status of applicants, recruiting efforts, and semester forecasting.
