Description
DescriptionSouthern Illinois University Edwardsville's School of Business invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Instructor in the Computer Management and Information Systems (CMIS) department beginning in August 2026 (subject to budgetary approval).
The successful candidate will have experience teaching graduate classes in foundations of cybersecurity, risk management, and governance, risk and compliance (GRC). The successful candidate will teach asynchronous and synchronous online classes. The successful candidate will teach primarily at the graduate level with the potential to teach undergraduate classes depending on department need.
Terms of Appointment
Full-time 9-month academic year term appointment with possibility for renewal.

Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Master's degree (MS or MBA) in MIS, Cybersecurity Management, or a closely related field. The candidate must have ten or more years of full-time, professional IT work experience in the areas of cybersecurity, information security, security frameworks, risk management, or governance, risk and compliance (GRC).
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- experience creating and implementing academic courses in cybersecurity and other technology topics
- healthcare industry experience
- IT management and IT project management experience
- industry-recognized cybersecurity/information technology certifications such as CRISC, CISSP, ITIL
