Job Description:
The Department of English invites applications for a lecturer with a dual specialty in Medieval and Early Modern Studies and Children's Literature.
The Department of English will serve as the berth for this position, and teaching assignments will be in both the department and the program in Medieval and Early Modern Studies (MDVL). The new hire for this position would join a department distinguished by its breadth and historical bent and be affiliated with the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (CEMERS), a vibrant organized research center with robust research, teaching, and programming. Teaching will be at the undergraduate level, with three courses each semester. Regular courses include the Introduction to Medieval and Early Modern Studies and Children's Literature, and may include the British Literature I survey course and other electives in the person's areas of specialization. This is a full-time appointment for up to three years, with the possibility of renewal.

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in English
- Research expertise in the areas of Medieval and Early Modern Studies
- Teaching experience in the areas of Medieval and Early Modern Studies and children's literature
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching a survey of early British literature
- Experience teaching interdisciplinary approaches to Medieval and Early Modern Studies
