Position Title: Long Term Substitute- Special Education Teacher 15:1:1.(November-June)

Position Summary/Purpose:

There is an immediate opening for a special education long-term substitute teacher at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. This position will begin as soon as possible and will continue through June 26, 2026.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• NYS Certification in Special Education is required (1st - 6th Grades)
• Evidence of successful teaching experience with special education students in self-contained environments
• Evidence of successful implementation of instructional support to struggling learners and/or students in need of enrichment opportunities
• Demonstrated knowledge of technology and its application in the classroom
• Ability to plan for and implement engaging and hands-on lessons
• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and curriculum development, including planning, execution and evaluation of materials, supplies, and lessons
• Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, students and administrators on a regular basis
• Ability to reflect on the teaching and learning process-allowing for growth and continuous improvement

Position Title: 4-hour Food Service Helper

Location: Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District / JFK High School

Hours: 10-month position (September - June) / Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Reports to: Food Service Helper in Charge and Food Service Director

Salary/Pay Scale: Per the CSEA Contract; Minimum Wage $15.50/hour

Job duties:

• Assist the Food Service Helper in Charge with food preparation and daily operations of the school cafeteria.
• Prepare food for students and serve meals (which includes standing for extended periods of time).
• Wash student and staff trays and and dishes.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and equipment
• Employee must be able to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system and do simple math such as addition and subtraction in order to balance a cash drawer.
• Employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.
• Any additional duties as assigned by Food Service Helper in Charge or Food Service Director.

Requirements: High School Diploma and reliable transportation required.
