Position Summary
The Program & Marketing Operations Manager plays a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable career programs and employer-facing events for the Career & Professional Development team. This position manages logistics, marketing execution, and cross-team coordination to ensure workshops, signature events, and campus-wide initiatives run smoothly and engage students. The role also oversees employer visit logistics, manages alumni speaker outreach, coordinates the communications calendar and day-to-day social media posting, and supervises 1-2 student employees supporting marketing tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program & Event Management (45%)
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the Career & Professional Development team programs,
- workshops, and signature events
- Manage end-to-end logistics including scheduling, space reservations, catering, technology, materials, and day-of-coordination
- Collaborate with Sr. Associate Director of Employer & Alumni Engagement to support employer led activities (information sessions, campus visits, networking events, industry events, etc.)
- Coordinate employer related logistics and communication, ensuring employers receive clear
- instructions, itineraries, and day-of support
- Maintain documentation to ensure consistency and strong employer/student experiences
- Coordinate campus ambassadors via the Office of Community Living who support career
- and employer event setup and check-ins, student/employer experience
Marketing & Communications (25%)
- Execute promotional campaigns for CPD programs and events, including email, social media,
- digital signage, newsletters, and Handshake posts
- Create basic visual assets (e.g., Canva graphics) that align with CPD brand guidelines
- Oversee 1-2 student employees who support marketing, communications, and event promotion
- Collaborate with the operations and coaching teams to track marketing performance and adjust
- tactics to maximize engagement
Alumni & Employer Outreach (15%)
- Identify and recruit alumni speakers, panelists, and facilitators for CPD programs, workshops,
- and signature events
- Conduct targeted outreach to alumni and employer partners to secure participation in
- Programs/events and recruiting-related initiatives
- Coordinate communications, confirmations, and event preparation materials to ensure alumni
- and employer participants have a smooth experience
- Partner with the Sr. Associate Director of Employer & Alumni Engagement to align outreach
- with employer pipelines and engagement goals
Event & Operations Support (15%)
- Serve as a primary contact for event-related inquiries from students, employers, and alumni
- Manage office/event supplies (ordering, restocking) and assist with purchasing requests for
- events or programming
- Ensure common spaces (front desk, event prep areas, supply closet) remain organized
- Create and maintain standard operating procedure for events and communications
- Maintain project plans and internal workflows that keep the team organized and aligned
- Ensure accurate event data entry, attendance tracking, and tagging in Handshake or CRM
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience coordinating programs, events, communications, or operations
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and employers
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience in higher education, career development, recruiting or employer relations.
- Proficiency with platforms such as Handshake, Canva, or CRM Systems.
- Familiarity with MS365, including Teams, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Office-based, Hybrid
- Occasional evening or weekend event support
Additional Information:
Expected Hiring Range: $61,700 to $68,650

The compensation for this position will be determined based on factors that include available budget, internal equity, and the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, education, and other job-related credentials. This range represents Clark University's good-faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting consistent with Clark's compensation philosophy and internal alignment.
