| Job Summary | The Sanders-Brown Center on Aging (https://medicine.uky.edu/centers/sbcoa) at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking outstanding PhD, MD, or MD/PhD scientists to fill a regular title series, tenure-track, open-rank, full-time faculty position in the area of translational neuroscience. We are especially interested in collaborative investigators with translational research programs applicable to age-related neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Potential areas of interest include, but are not restricted to:
The position is in the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, an established center of excellence where independent basic/translational and clinical scientists work in a highly collaborative environment. The Center on Aging includes the NIA-funded University of Kentucky Alzheimer's Disease Research Center that provides outstanding resources that can support innovative research (e.g. longitudinally followed clinical cohorts, imaging, biomarkers, genetics, biospecimens, and statistical support). Successful candidates will have a track record of innovation and productivity, and a desire to integrate into our community of collaborative biomedical researchers. Candidates will be expected to build and maintain a high quality, extramurally funded research program, contribute to our educational mission, and provide service to the University and academic community at a level commensurate with his/her career stage.
