The Counselor/LGBTQIA+ Specialist provides direct clinical mental health counseling services to enrolled students in both undergraduate and graduate schools, including: individual and group counseling; outreach programming; case management; crisis intervention; training of graduate trainees; and collaboration/consultation with faculty and staff. The LGBTQIA+ Specialist would be responsible for creating outreach programs, workshops, staff trainings for counseling center colleagues and therapy groups in support of the LGBTQIA+ student population. The clinician in this position would serve as the consultant for campus partners on LGBTQIA+ related issues.

Job Requirements:
- Master's or doctoral degree in a mental health discipline (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work, or related clinical field)
- Must have independent licensure (LICSW, LMHC, or PsyD/PhD) within the state of Massachusetts (or is license eligible within a year).
- Must have prior experience working with and contributing to a diverse workplace with the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of constituents on campus.
- Must have a general expert knowledge of mental health and psychological functioning.
- Must be trained in the provision of affirmative therapy to members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Experience in developing and implementing LGBTQIA+ outreach and psychoeducational programming, preferred.
Additional Information:
Expected Hiring Range: $61,700 to $68,150

The compensation for this position will be determined based on factors that include available budget, internal equity, and the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, education, and other job-related credentials. This range represents Clark University's good-faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting consistent with Clark's compensation philosophy and internal alignment.
