The Lake Holcombe School District is seeking a Superintendent beginning on July 1, 2027, with a base salary range expected to be $135,000 - $150,000; other benefits to be negotiated. Preference may be given to candidates who have special education director licensure or are willing to pursue the certification.

Lake Holcombe is a town in Chippewa County. Its population was 1,031 at the 2010 census. The town of Lake Holcombe is roughly 6 x 6 square miles, except that the west end is cut off by the Chippewa River, and a few square miles are added in the southwest. The Holcombe Flowage ("Lake Holcombe") takes up the northern part of the town's western boundary, impounding the Chippewa River itself but also extending east across the northern part of the town where the Jump River enters. The town has a total area of 30.6 square miles, of which 26.6 square miles is land and 4.0 square miles, or 13.07%, is water.  

Lake Holcombe School District is a small rural K12 district in northwest Wisconsin, serving about 235 students in a single PreK12. The District has 55 FTE employees and a general fund budget of approximately $5.3 million.  It is known for its natural beauty and strong community ties, with the school situated on the Holcombe Flowage.

The district maintains a studentteacher ratio of 12:1, below the Wisconsin average. The district’s mission is to promote high levels of learning and growth by adapting to the needs of all students, and its vision is to be “a small school that makes a BIG difference by opening the doors to the future”.

Lake Holcombe School is known for strong community support in academics, programs, and athletics. The district offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including band, choir, sports, and community events.
