The Computer Science Department at Rutgers University, New Brunswick NJ, invites applications for multiple tenure-track/tenured positions at the Assistant Professor and Associate Professor levels.
We invite applications from candidates making research contributions in any CS area in support of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science. We welcome applicants with interdisciplinary approaches and potential for collaborative impact across the department, school, and the university. Rutgers CS has a broad portfolio of research, innovation, undergraduate and graduate education, and outreach, with strengths in AI and robotics, foundations of computer science, and systems.

The academic/calendar year salary for a/an assistant/associate/full professor will not be less than $82.110 / $84,950 / $95,764, based on the most recent collective bargaining agreement between the faculty union (AAUP-AFT) and Rutgers University.
Responsibilities will include research, supervision of Ph.D. students, and teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in Computer Science. Pursuit of external research funding is expected.
Requirements: Successful completion of a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required by the start date.
Timeline: The appointment will start September 1, 2026. Applications received by January 1, 2026, will be given priority.
