The Industrial-Organizational Psychology Area in the Department of Psychology within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University at Albany, is seeking applicants for a Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth plus (PRODiG+) Postdoctoral Fellow in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. The Postdoctoral fellow will work with one or more faculty members on their ongoing research. The position title will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Postdoctoral Associate depending on the background and experience of the candidate. This is a 12-month position that is expected to be two years in duration and may lead to a potential appointment of a tenure track faculty position. Although the areas of research specialization within I-O psychology are open, successful candidates will show a commitment to producing high-impact research that complements the programs and the department's existing areas of expertise. The Fellow will work closely with other faculty to advance their personal research portfolio with journal publications, presentations at national/international conferences, and grant proposal development.
The Visiting Assistant Professor or Postdoctoral Associate will be mentored by experienced faculty and will have access to campus resources for both research and teaching skill development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Research: The Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP)/Postdoctoral Associate (PA) will perform research in Industrial and Organizational Psychology under the mentorship of a current faculty member, with the goal of developing an independent research program. The Fellow is expected to work as part of a collaborative research team. The Fellow may also collaborate with other faculty across the Department, College, and University as appropriate for their interests and specializations. Faculty at University at Albany conduct high-impact qualitative and quantitative research across a broad spectrum of domains. The Fellow is expected to publish high-impact papers in peer-reviewed journals in their area(s) of expertise as it relates to I-O psychology.
- Teaching: The position will include some teaching responsibilities as determined by the department, which may include introductory courses as well as upper-level courses. Additionally, the Fellow may contribute to Graduate seminars in their area of specialty. The I-O area at University at Albany has robust MA and PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology programs. The Fellow may teach in these programs and/or at the undergraduate level.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Management, Organizational Behavior, or a related field from an accredited institution completed prior to start date.
- Be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
- Established record of journal publications in reputable journals and/or conference presentations at national or international conferences.
- Experience with diverse student populations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate personal, academic, and/or work experience engaging with diversity, equity, and inclusion and/or a commitment to facilitating and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the campus community. Such experience may include, but is not limited to, an academic/scholarly track record focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion; work, volunteer/unpaid/community service; or related experience/expertise in serving underserved or vulnerable areas and/or populations.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to demonstrate prior teaching experience.
- Current SUNY students, alumni, and/or Fellows.
- Applicants from a low-income background (e.g., Pell-eligible as undergraduates), were first-generation college students (students whose parents have not earned a bachelor's degree), have overcome adversity, are AmeriCorps alumni, or are veterans.

Professional Rank and Salary Range: Visiting Assistant Professor OR Postdoctoral Associate (SL1) based on qualification, salary commensurate with experience.
