Description

Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer position. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for the vision, leadership, and strategic direction of the University’s academic pursuits. This includes oversight of all academic programs, policies, and personnel; alignment of academic priorities with the University’s mission, Lutheran identity, and strategic plan; and the stewardship of academic and fiscal resources through collaboration with faculty, staff, and senior leadership.

Requirements

•       Exhibit effective, professional, accurate, and timely communication with all stakeholders
•       Have demonstrated leadership in academic program development, accreditation, and cross-functional collaboration
•       Have a demonstrated understanding of, and facility in handling, the complexity of developing and integrating a wide range of academic programs at a university
•       Demonstrate strong administrative and project management skills, including strategic thinking and attention to detail
•       Exhibit a commitment to CUC’s Lutheran identity and Christian mission, with understanding of faith-based higher education.
•       Doctoral degree is required. 
•       Undergraduate certification or colloquy completion as a professional church worker in the LCMS is preferred.
