The position of Junior High Assistant Principal is done for the purpose/s of maintaining overall school site operations; receiving, distributing and communicating information to enforce school, District and State policies; maintaining safety of school environment; coordinating site activities; communicating information to staff; and addressing situations, problems and/or conflicts.
Job Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
Provides instructional leadership and professional development to all staff members. Assists principal in developing a positive effective learning climate. Assists in maintaining student discipline and handles special cases as necessary. Assists with the evaluation of certificated staff members. Works on committees pertinent to the operation of the District. Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, and works with the principal for investigative follow-up actions. Works with faculty in compiling the annual budget requests.

Requirements
Education and Experience: Master's degree required with a major in educational administration or appropriate related field. At least three years of successful experience as a classroom teacher. A valid state certificate to practice as a school administrator.
