- Assistant Coach: Tennis
Description
The University of West Alabama (UWA) is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Tennis Coach to join our athletics staff. This position will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the tennis program, including recruitment, training, teaching, game preparation, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the court while upholding the values of the University and the athletic department.
- On the court coaching responsibilities assigned by the Head Coach.
- Recruiting duties assigned by the Head Coach
- Other administrative and coaching duties assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Successful coaching experience.
- Ability to recruit student-athletes to a Division II tennis program.
- Proven ability to develop tennis players.
- Knowledge of NCAA regulations- Division II and Gulf South Conference preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, coaching staff, students, alumni, and boosters.
Desired:
- Master’s Degree.
- Knowledge of NCAA Division II and Gulf South Conference regulations and recruiting guidelines.
