Description
The history department seeks an associate professional specialist in residence to support the Delaware History Project. This is a full-time one-semester position either for the Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 term. The specialist's primary duty will be to support research on Lenape history using local archives and museum holdings while liaising with Lenape research partners. The specialist will work closely with Professor Elizabeth Ellis and will be expected to work collaboratively on the Delaware History Project. This will include regular meetings with students and faculty and helping develop plans for sharing research findings. We seek candidates who are eager to engage with our campus community and who have demonstrated excellence working with Lenape communities. Candidates should have a strong background in Lenape history and culture and have archival research skills. They do not need to hold a PhD, but experience working in academic settings is preferred. Candidates will be evaluated and compensated according to their academic qualifications and professional experience.
