Description
The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full-time clinical-track faculty member in Clinic Administration.
Major responsibilities include:
- Didactic/clinical instruction of pre-doctoral students in the College of Dentistry’s Admissions Clinic and Oral Diagnosis Clinic, including management of urgent care patients;
- Screening and routing of patients in the Admissions and Oral Diagnosis clinics;
- Providing hygiene checks in the Faculty General Practice clinic;
- Providing urgent care, including extraction and root canal therapy; and
- Active participation in the department faculty practice plan.
The position is available August 3, 2026; screening begins immediately.

Applicants must have:
- DDS/DMD from a CODA/CDAC-accredited institution; and
- Licensed to practice in the State of Iowa, or eligible for a Faculty Permit, issued by the Iowa Board of Dentistry.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
Desirable qualifications:
- Advanced education certificate/degree with strong interest in general dentistry;
- Experience with extraction and root canal therapy;
- Clinical teaching experience;
- Private practice experience;
- Experience triaging patients in a dynamic clinical environment; and
- Experience with electronic health record.
