- Division of Ambulatory Anesthesiology Faculty Position
Description
The Division of Ambulatory Anesthesiology in the Duke Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a full-time faculty member. Ideal candidates will be BE/BC in Anesthesiology, have a commitment to clinical excellence, and be prepared to work with field leaders in a high-paced, patient-centered outpatient anesthesia location.
- Candidates should also have a robust academic career with a strong commitment to education of trainees and be involved on a national level as evidenced by activity with national societies and lecturing commitments at regional/national meetings.
- Flexibility, strong communication skills and experience in ASC settings are essential.
- The Division covers a diverse array of procedures including orthopedics, general, plastics, ophthalmology, urologic and GI as well as other cases.
- The Division’s focus is to promote a constant interplay between research activities, educational endeavors and ambulatory clinical practice with the goal of identifying clinically relevant questions that ultimately benefit care of patients in the perioperative environment and enrich the educational experience of the next generation of anesthesiologists.
