Inter-American School (IAS) is a Christian, English language immersion school located in the beautiful highland valley of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. We offer U.S. curriculum and instruction to students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. IAS was established in 1961, and has continued to grow and serve the educational needs of students from both international and local families. We strive to inspire students in academic achievement and to provide an authentic Christian environment that encourages students to demonstrate Christ-like behavior and be active disciples in their community.

Job Requirements:
We are looking for applicants who are willing to help us fulfill our mission to promote academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment. Teachers must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Elementary teachers have multiple preparation times during the day and small class sizes! Current elementary needs: PreK, 1st grade, and 4th grade. Candidates for other subject areas will be considered.
Additional requirements:
- Teachers must have a bachelor's degree; an education degree is preferred, but not required.
- Teachers must have English as a first language or near native fluency.
- Teachers should have a desire to serve wherever is needed at the school.
- Candidates should be problem solvers, have a growth mindset, and open to living in a different culture.
- Candidates from North America or other English speaking countries strongly preferred.
- Candidates must commit to working a full year at IAS.
