Description

The St. John School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Elementary Teacher to join our learning community. The Elementary Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, engaging, and academically rigorous classroom environment for students in grades K–5. This position focuses on developing students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral skills through age-appropriate instruction aligned with district curriculum, Washington State Learning Standards, and best instructional practices.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student growth, differentiated instruction, relationship-based teaching, collaboration, and positive classroom management strategies that promote success for every learner. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field
Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Elementary Education endorsement
Successful completion of Washington State fingerprint/background clearance
Demonstrated understanding of child development and effective instructional practices
Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
