Summary of Position:
The Grade 8 math teacher fosters a dynamic and inclusive learning environment focused on innovative teaching practices and student engagement. The individual is also expected to actively support students, create a positive classroom environment, and adjust teaching methods to support diverse learning styles as needed. This position involves instructing a Grade 8 Algebra and Applications of Algebra course, providing students with the following mathematical skills and habits of mind: computational fluency and conceptual understanding, problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration. This role requires developing and continuously reviewing curriculum and course materials.
Base Salary: For the 2026–27 academic year, faculty salaries range from $50,000 to $120,000 annually. Placement within this range is determined by years of experience, in alignment with Milton Academy’s faculty salary scale, which is designed to ensure equitable pay progression.
Housing Stipend: Faculty members who reside off-campus will also receive an annual stipend of $13,000 (in 2026-27) in addition to the base salary listed above.
