Salary Range or Pay Grade: $81,700 to $88,000
Description
Princeton University's Effron Center for the Study of America has an occasional curricular need for Lecturers specializing in American Studies, Asian American Studies, Latino Studies, and/or Native American and Indigenous Studies to teach undergraduate courses, or precepts (sections) of lecture classes, and accepts applications in advance if such lecturers are needed. Appointment duty time will depend upon departmental need and student enrollments, and any academic year 2026-27 positions are expected to begin September 1, 2026, or January 16, 2027, depending on the needs of the Center. Any potential for renewal will be subject to departmental need.
Such positions may require leading discussions, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the course instructor(s), holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers.
Candidates working in the social sciences, environmental humanities, gender and sexuality studies, and comparative race and ethnicity are encouraged to apply.
These positions are subject to the University's background check policy. The work location for these positions is in-person on campus at Princeton University. Term positions of one year or less are not eligible for sponsorship of an H-1B visa requiring consular processing.
Qualifications
An advanced degree is required.
