POSITION SUMMARY: This is a non-tenure track full-time Teaching Faculty position. Provides Leadership of educational services through the administration of financial, physical, and human resources necessary for instruction in Radiation Therapy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In collaboration with program faculty:
Assures effective program operationsFosters achievement of program goals through general management of financial, physical, and human resources
Assumes leadership role in the development and structure of the program admissions criteria for applicants, and participates in efforts of student recruitment
Assumes didactic responsibilities and functions within the position description of full-time faculty as needed
Maintains current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development
Provides continuity of learning objectives, assuring effective program operation
Provides student guidance and academic counseling as appropriate
Maintains confidentiality in all student matters
Facilitates and documents accurate communication of program policies and procedures to students
Establishes appropriate communication and feedback procedures for student concerns
Oversees ongoing program accreditation and assessment processesActively coordinates and conducts the procedures required to achieve and maintain program accreditation
Develops and refines the program's master plan of education, including short- and long-term goals and objectives
Evaluates program effectiveness through outcomes assessment, student evaluation, and peer review of faculty, exit interviews, and surveys of graduates. Coordinates development and revision of course descriptions and outlines
Evaluates plans for educational delivery of didactic, laboratory, and clinical experiences to facilitate the achievement of program goals
Conducts periodic assessment of program effectiveness through providing leadership in the continued development of the program and its faculty
Participates in budget planningContributes to the formulation of appropriate program budget planning
Exhibits positive interactions with the students, faculty, and institutional administration, enhancing cooperation and mutual benefit
Creates a positive environment for learning
Participates in department/college/university committees, consistent with the goals of the program and sponsoring institution
THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR SHALL NOT BE ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY EDUCATIONALLY UNRELATED FUNCTIONS.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holds, at a minimum, a master’s degree preferred.
Is proficient in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction, and academic advising, preferred.
Documents three years of clinical experience in the professional discipline
Documents two years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program, preferred.
Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiation therapy
Shall be knowledgeable of program-related revenue, costs, and benefits and exhibit proficiency in budgeting and cost/benefit analyses, as required by sponsoring institutions.
Shall meet the criteria for the position as established by the sponsoring institution and accreditation agencies.
Shall be employed full-time as a program official, as indicated by accreditation agencies.
