Academy of Our Lady is Hiring! Join a dedicated and experienced faculty at a thriving K-8 Catholic school in Glen Rock, NJ.

(1) Full-Time Teaching Position, Grades K-4

Classroom teachers in grades K-4 teach all subjects, including religion. Lesson plans are submitted to principal in all subjects. Working hours are 7:45 AM-3:00 PM.

(2) Full-Time OR Part-Time Teaching Position, 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies

This position requires the teacher to serve as a homeroom teacher for 7th grade and to teach 7th and 8th grade social studies. The social studies curriculum is US History and begins with colonization through the Civil War in 7th grade and then Reconstruction through WWII in 8th grade. There is a possibility of negotiating this to a part-time position, if that appeals.

Classification: Non Exempt

Specific Duties/Responsibilities

Also responsible for supervising recess and lunchtime two or three times a week, as well as other duties assigned by the principal. Monthly faculty meetings, Open House, and certain graduation events are also mandatory attendance.

Salary Range
Starting salary $40,000; negotiable

Education and/or Experience

- NJ standard teaching certificate or reciprocal (preferred)

- CE or CEAS accepted
