Haverford College seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Statistics to begin fall 2027.
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Haverford College invites applicants for a tenure-track position in applied statistics to begin in the fall of 2027. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics, but we will also consider candidates with a Ph.D. in related fields, with a primary research interest in statistics and the ability to teach a broad range of statistics courses. A successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to teach statistics courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum, to direct senior theses in statistics, and to conduct original research in applied statistics. The appointment begins July 1, 2027, and it is expected that the Ph.D. will be completed prior to the fall semester start date on August 30, 2027.
